Brought to you by husband and wife team, Paul and Maria Le Mesurier, WoodEdit is a collection of hand-crafted, wooden furniture pieces for the home designed and made to last.
Paul is the sole craftsman and maker. Each piece in the collection is made to order by him in his workshop near the sea in North Devon. Everything is made by hand in-house. Any of the pieces can be made to a bespoke size in Ash, Walnut or Oak wood.
Having had a long career as an Osteopath, Paul Le Mesurier took a year-long sabbatical in 2011 and embarked on his passion for boats and wood by studying traditional boatbuilding in Suffolk. Here, he immersed himself in honing his skill and fell in love with the idea of switching from using his hands to treat people through osteopathy to using those same hands to make beautiful pieces of furniture for his customers to enjoy.
Maria is the Creative Director – she designs and styles the furniture pieces. WoodEdit’s aesthetic is driven by Maria’s minimalist style and creative vision inspired by her passion for nature, simplicity and authenticity. Maria offers interior style consultations placing WoodEdit pieces in people’s homes.
WoodEdit’s ethos is that of living authentically and naturally, thereby making high quality pieces of furniture with longevity, timeless pieces and that will last for generations. WoodEdit care deeply for the environment and all woods are responsibly sourced.
